Dartmouth democratizes student group application process with Balloon

At a selective Ivy League school, more than only the admissions process can be intense: At Dartmouth College, student group application and admission processes had a reputation for being nepotistic and biased—that is, until Judy Doherty, associate VP of Advancement Systems and Services, introduced the faculty and student body to Balloon.

"I'm used to massive technology projects that can take six months to plan with massive data conversions, hundreds of hours of consulting and documentation training," said Doherty. "With Balloon, you don't need any of that. You just have a problem to solve. The next day you can be up and running and learning. It’s so easy to use, you just have to be willing to let Balloon prove itself, and that doesn't take much time."

Now, Dartmouth's student group application process has a brand new reputation: Fair, accurate, unbiased, and completely based on merit. What more could a college student want?
